It is important that the child wears the hat at all times when the child goes out. The rays from the sun can damage adults' skins and cause them sunburns but even more so for an newborn baby. The reason for this... a baby's scalp and skin are much more sensitive than an adults. This why it is so important that parents protect their baby's head should they be outdoors.
